Our Mission is…

Chrysalis Center provides support services to assist people in need to transform their lives.

Getting help...Getting better...Giving back

Chrysalis Center is a private non-profit healthcare agency which provides community support services to people who are struggling with mental illness, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, release from incarceration and homelessness and who live substantially below the poverty line.  Each year nearly 3,000 individuals and families receive support and assistance through agency services in the areas of housing, employment, education and community integration. It is the purpose of Chrysalis Center, Inc. to provide services that allow individuals and families to reintegrate successfully into the community and transform their lives to meet their
personal goals and objectives
.

Our Philosophy...

The philosophy of Chrysalis Center is based on "partnership" at all levels of the agency. This philosophy allows clients receiving services, and their families or significant others, to have an active voice and role in their recovery and personal goals. Staff work in partnership with clients to identify their strengths, needs, abilities and preferences which are combined with rehabilitative, recovery and health related goals that support individual choice and growth. Chrysalis Center staff believe that each individual/family, regardless of their illness, disability or life circumstance, brings with them a host of strengths, experiences, and skills to build upon. Chrysalis Center also believes clients have the right to: housing, employment and vocational training, healthcare, involvement in their community, opportunities to learn and grow and sustaining interpersonal relationships.
