Stories – Chrysalis Center holds Butterfly Bash

Chrysalis Center held is signature fundraiser, the Butterfly Bash, on Thursday, October 19th.

The evening started with hors d'oervres under the stars on the Freshplace patio, as Chrysais Center held its 13th Annual Butterfly Bash. Festivites next moved into Chrysalis Center's TCC (Training & Conference Center) for a dinner created by La Cocina, Chrysalis Center's culinary arts program.

The evening included presentations of awards, a silent auction and concluded with a live auction featuring a "Mission Quilt" created by participants of the sewing circle, part of Chrysalis Center's Recovery and Empowerment Center (REC). The quilt was "won" by a friend of Chrysalis who immediately donated it back to the agency. It will be placed on display for all to see when visiting Chrysalis Center.

The event raised over $100K to help support the many programs that Chrysalis Center operates.Emcees for the evening were Kara Sundland and Dennis House from WFSB Channel 3, who led the auctions and other events during the evening.

Chrysalis Center Board and Former Board members, in honor of CEO Sharon Castelli's 30th anniversary with the agency, presented her with a check for $3,000  to help support Freshplace.
