Stories – Moms Time Out

A West Hartford based talk show, recently held their two-year anniversary celebration by hosting a benefit to support Chrysalis Center's Soromundi program that helps local women living in the Soromundi emergency shelter. The benefit raised $1,000 to support these women in need.

Co-hosted by Blo Blow Hair Dry Bar in West Hartford and Jabberhead social media agency, the benefit was held on August 16, 2018 at Blo Blow Hair Dry Bar, 59 Memorial Rd, West Hartford and included hair and makeup applications, wine tasting by One Hope Wine, a DJ and raffle items from local businesses.

Funds raised were donated to Chrysalis Center. The monies raised will support the services the organization provides to the Sormundi Emergency Shelter located in Hartford and will be used to sponsor welcome kits for women coming into the shelter. The shelter is designed to assist women who have been homeless or are at risk of homelessness move from the street to stability.

Jean Camilletti, owner of Blo and longtime supporter of Moms Time Out, stated:

It is extremely important to my team and I that we find the best partners that align with our vision. I believe in the empowerment of women and truly feel that it is each of our responsibility to support women and help them become strong future leaders and mothers. I am thankful for the people that believed in me along the way.

When I met the team of women behind Moms Time Out, I felt that we shared in this vision. They too believed that if you are focused on helping people grow and value them in your business and life, everything will fall into place. The universe will reward you!
